CURRENT RESIDENTS:

IT'S TIME TO RSVP FOR FALL 2018 - SPRING 2019 ON-CAMPUS HOUSING!

Below you'll find all the details on applications, room selection, and prizes!


RSVP Application:

  1. Beginning Thursday, March 1, 2018, you will need to log onto MyResCenter.
  2. You will use your MyJSU username and password to log on.
  3. Follow the steps and complete the Returning Student Application 2018–2019.
  4. Submit your completed application. This does not ensure housing for next year.
  5. You will need to come back on your specific day (see information below) to pick your room.

The Returning Student Application will close on Sunday, March 11, at 11:59 p.m.

RSVP Prizes

The first 100 students to complete their Returning Student Application 2018-2019 on MyResCenter will receive a full-size laundry tote and be entered into a drawing for a FREE Semester of Housing for Fall 2018!!!

RSVP Room Selection:

During the week of March 12–16, residents will have designated dates to reapply for housing. See the information below for your day to reapply. Room selection will be open each day from 12:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.

I live in Campus Inn, College, Colonial Arms, Daugette, Jax, Meehan, Pannell, Penn House, or Sparkman. What are my options?

  • Option #1: I want to keep my exact same room assignment for 2018-2019. You will need to submit a Returning Student Application 2018-2019 online through MyResCenter between March 1-11 and then log onto MyResCenter on Monday, March 12, between 12:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. to "squat" for your exact same room. 
  • Option #2: I want a different assignment for 2018-2019. You will still need to submit a Returning Student Application 2018-2019 online through MyResCenter between March 1-11 and then log onto MyResCenter on Tuesday, March 13, between 12:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. to search for open rooms and make your room selection. *Note: we recommend that you weigh this option carefully. If you do not squat we cannot guarantee your assignment will still be available on March 13.

I live in Crow, Curtiss, Dixon, Fitzpatrick, Logan, or Patterson. What are my options?

  • These six halls are reserved for first-time freshmen and residents are not able to select these assignments. 
  • You will need to submit a Returning Student Application 2018-2019 online through MyResCenter between March 1-11 and then log onto MyResCenter on Wednesday, March 14, between 12:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. to search for open rooms and make your room selection.
  • On Wednesday, March 14, you will be able to select from any available assignment in any of the on-campus apartments (Campus Inn, College, Colonial Arms, Jax, Pannell, and Penn House), Daugette Hall, Meehan Hall, or Sparkman Hall.
        
        
  • Female residents of Curtiss, Fitzpatrick, or Logan with a 2.5 GPA or higher qualify for the Leadership House for Women. A separate application is required for the Leadership House for Women program. For more information visit our website
        
        
  • Female residents of  Curtiss, Fitzpatrick, or Logan that are members of Alpha Omicron Pi, Alpha Xi Delta, Delta Zeta, Phi Mu, or Zeta Tau Alpha and will be living in your designated housing in Meehan Hall, please see I am a member of a Greek organization and want to live in my chapter's designated housing facilities. What are my options?

I live in the International House or the Leadership House for Women. What are my options?

  • These two programs require a separate application process to reside in their facilities.
        
        
  • Leadership House for Women residents: Leadership House for Women residents that are not returning for a second year may select from any available spaces on Tuesday, March 13
          
    • You will  need to submit a Returning Student Application 2018-2019 online through MyResCenter between March 1-11 and then log onto MyResCenter on Tuesday, March 13, between 12:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. to search for open rooms and make your room selection.
  • If you are returning for a second year in the Leadership House for Women, you will need to submit a Returning Student Application 2018-2019 online through MyResCenter between March 1-11. Your assignment will be made by the Office of Housing Operations.
  • International House residents: If you have reapplied to live in the International House for 2018-2019, you will still need to submit a Returning Student Application 2018-2019 online through MyResCenter during March 1-11.
  • If you  are accepted into the program for 2018-2019, you will be assigned by the Office of Housing Operations according to assignments provided by the International House.   
         
         
  • If you are no longer planning to live in the International House for 2018-2019 and still plan to live on campus, you will need to submit a Returning Student Application 2018-2019 online through MyResCenter between March 1-11 and then log onto MyResCenter on Tuesday, March 13, between 12:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. to search for open rooms and make your room selection.
  • If you are applying to the International House program for the first time and currently live on campus, you will need to submit a Returning Student Application 2018-2019 online through MyResCenter between March 1-11 and then log onto MyResCenter on your designated day to select a room assignment. 
         
         
  • If you are accepted into the program, you will be reassigned to the International House by the Office of Housing Operations.

I am a member of a Greek organization and want to live in my chapter's designated housing facilities. What are my options?

  • Members of Alpha Omicron Pi, Alpha Xi Delta, Delta Zeta, Phi Mu, Zeta Tau Alpha, Kappa Sigma, and Pi Kappa Phi have designated housing facilities on campus. If you are wanting to live in your designated housing, follow the steps below.
  • Option #1: If you currently live on campus, you will need to submit a Returning Student Application 2018-2019 online through MyResCenter during March 1-11.
    • Room assignments should be submitted by the chapter president to the Director of Housing Operations, Brooke Lyon (bbell@jsu.edu), by March 11.
  • Once the room assignment list has been submitted, the Office of Housing Operations will make the remaining assignments. 
         
         
  • Option #2: I do not live on campus and want to live in my chapter's designated rooms or fraternity house. 
  • You will need to submit a Transfer/New Upper Class Resident Application Fall 2018-Spring 2019 application online through MyResCenter and pay the $200 nonrefundable application fee.
         
         
  • Room assignments should be submitted by the chapter president to the Director of Housing Operations, Brooke Lyon (bbell@jsu.edu), by March 11. 
         
         
  • Once the room assignment list has been submitted, the Office of Housing Operations will make the remaining assignments.

I forgot to select my room on my designated date OR I want to change my assignment! What are my options?

  • Only residents who have submitted a Returning Student Application 2018-2019 may change rooms or edit their application.
        
        
  • You will be able to log on Thursday, March 15 or Friday March 16, between 12:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. to search for any open rooms or change rooms if space is available.

I want to live in the Leadership House for Women. What do I need to do?

  • If you currently live on campus you will need to submit a Returning Student Application 2018-2019 online through MyResCenter between March 1-11 and then log onto MyResCenter on your designated day to select a room assignment. 
  • Submit the Leadership House for Women application online.
        
        
  • If you are accepted into the program you will be assigned to the Leadership House for Women by the Office of Housing Operations.

I was recently hired as a Resident Assistant. What do I need to do?

  • If you currently live on campus you will need to submit a Returning Student Application 2018-2019 online through MyResCenter during March 1-11.
  • If you do not currently live on campus, you will need to submit a Transfer/New Upper Class Resident Application Fall 2018-Spring 2019 application online through MyResCenter and pay the $200 nonrefundable application fee.
        
        
  • You will be assigned to your room assignment by the Office of Housing Operations. 
        
        
  • If you were chosen to be an alternate RA and plan to still live on campus you will need to submit a Returning Student Application 2018-2019 online through MyResCenter between March 1-11 and then log onto MyResCenter on your designated day to select a room assignment. 
  • If you are chosen from the alternate list to be a Resident Assistant for fall 2018-spring 2019, the Office of Housing Operations will assign you to your room assignment.

I want to live in summer housing. What are my options?

  •  Option #1: I currently live in an on-campus apartment (Campus Inn, College, Colonial Arms, Jax, Pannell, Penn House residents only). 
    • The Apartment Area will remain open for summer 2018. If you live in one of the complexes listed above you will need to meet the following requirements in order to reside in your apartment for the full summer term:  
            
  • You must squat (reapply) for your current assignment before applying for summer housing. 
    • You must be enrolled for the entire summer (any combination of terms will be permitted as long as you are enrolled the entire summer). 
    • You must be preregistered for fall 2018 classes.
    • After you have completed these requirements you will be allowed to submit a summer housing application.
    • If you did not squat for your apartment but are assigned to a new apartment for fall 2018 you will be able to stay in summer housing in Meehan Hall.
    • The rates for summer housing for apartment residents are: Campus Inn Efficiency: $2075; Campus Inn One Bedroom: $2675; College: $2550; Colonial Arms: $2550; Jax: $2550; Pannell: $2425; Penn House: $2550
    • You will need to submit the Full Summer Housing Application 2018 through MyResCenter to apply for your summer housing assignment.
  • Option #2: I live in any remaining on-campus facility (Crow, Curtiss, Daugette, Dixon, Fitzpatrick, Leadership House for Women, Logan, Meehan, Patterson, or Sparkman) and want to live in summer housing.
    • Meehan Hall will be available for summer housing.
    • Resident must be enrolled in summer classes in order to live in Meehan Hall for the summer. Example, if you are only taking Summer I classes, you will only be able to reside in Meehan Hall for the Summer I term. 
    • The rates for summer housing are: Summer I (May 16 – June 20) - $625, Summer 4 Week Term (June 4 – June 28) - $500, Summer II (June 25 – July 30) - $625, Full Summer (May 16 – July 30) $1250.
    • Residents will need to select the appropriate applications for the summer classes for which they are enrolled. For example, if you are only taking Summer I classes, you would need to submit the Summer I 2018 Housing Application online through MyResCenter.
