CURRENT HOUSING STUDENTS:

IT'S TIME TO RSVP FOR FALL 2017 - SPRING 2018 ON-CAMPUS HOUSING!!

Below is all the info you need to know on applications, room selection, and prizes!!


RSVP Applications:

  1. Beginning March 1, 2017, you will need to log onto https://housing.jsu.edu/webpatron/. You will use your MyJSU username and password to log on. Follow the steps and complete the Returning Student Application 2017–2018. Submit your completed application. This does not ensure housing for next year. You will need to come back on your specific day (see information below) to pick your room.
  2. The Returning Student Application will close on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at 11:59 p.m.
  3. During the week of March 6–10, residents will have designated dates for room selection. See the dates below for your day to select a room. Room selection will be open each day from 12:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
  4. You do not have to pay the $200 application fee again if you select you room during the RSVP time frame.

RSVP Prizes

The first 100 students to complete their Returning Student Application 2017-2018 on MyResCenter will receive a #LiveCocky Baseball Cap and be entered into a drawing for a FREE Semester of Housing for Fall 2017!!!

RSVP Room Selections:

During the week of March 6–10, residents will have designated dates for room selection.See the information below for your day to select a room. Room selection will be open each day from 12:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.

I live in Campus Inn, College, Colonial Arms, Daugette, Jax, Meehan, Pannell, or Penn House. What are my options?

Option #1: I want to keep my exact same room assignment for 2017-2018. You will need to submit a Returning Student Application 2017-2018 online through MyResCenter between March 1-5 and then log onto MyResCenter on Monday, March 6, between 12:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. to "squat" for your exact same room. 

Option #2: I want a different assignment for 2017-2018. You will still need to submit a Returning Student Application 2017-2018 online through MyResCenter between March 1-5 and then log onto MyResCenter on Tuesday, March 7, between 12:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. to search for open rooms and make your room selection. *NOTE: WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU WEIGH THIS OPTION CAREFULLY. IF YOU DO NOT SQUAT WE CANNOT GUARANTEE YOUR ASSIGNMENT WILL STILL BE AVAILABLE ON MARCH 7.

I live in Crow, Curtiss, Dixon or Fitzpatrick. What are my options?

These four halls are reserved for first-time freshmen and residents are not able to select these assignments. 

You will need to submit a Returning Student Application 2017-2018 online through MyResCenter between March 1-5 and then log onto MyResCenter on Wednesday, March 8, between 12:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. to search for open rooms and make you room selection.

On Wednesday, March 8, you will be able to select from any available assignment in any of the on-campus apartments (Campus Inn, College, Colonial Arms, Jax, Pannell, and Penn House), Daugette (Males Only), Meehan, or Sparkman Hall.

Female residents of Curtiss or Fitzpatrick with a 2.5 GPA or higher qualify for the Leadership House for Women. A separate application is required for the Leadership House for Women program. For more information visit our website

I live in the International House or the Leadership House for Women. What are my options?

These two programs require a separate application process to reside in their facilities.

Leadership House for Women residents: The Leadership House for Women residents are not eligible to return for a second year and may select from any available spaces on Tuesday, March 7.

You will need to submit a Returning Student Application 2017-2018 online through MyResCenter between March 1-5 and then log onto MyResCenter on Tuesday, March 7, between 12:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. to search for open rooms and make your room selection.

International House residents: If you have reapplied to live in the International House for 2017-2018, you will still need to submit a Returning Student Application 2017-2018 online through MyResCenter during March 1-5. If you are accepted into the program for 2017-2018 you will be assigned by the Office of University Housing Operations according to assignments provided by the International House staff.

If you are no longer planning to live in the International House for 2017-2018 and still plan to live on campus you will need to submit a Returning Student Application 2017-2018 online through MyResCenter between March 1-5 and then log onto MyResCenter on Tuesday, March 7, between 12:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. to search for open rooms and make your room selection.

If you are applying to the International House program for the first time and currently live on campus you will need to submit a Returning Student Application 2017-2018 online through MyResCenter between March 1-5 and then log onto MyResCenter on your designated day to select a room assignment. 

If you are accepted into the program you will be assigned to the International House by the Office of University Housing Operations.

I live in Logan or Patterson. What are my options?

Beginning fall 2017, these two halls will house first-time freshmen only. Males will continue to be housed in Patterson and females will continue to be housed in Logan.

You will need to submit a Returning Student Application 2017-2018 online through MyResCenter between March 1-5 and then log onto MyResCenter on Wednesday, March 8, between 12:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. to search for open rooms and make you room selection.

On Wednesday, March 8, you will be able to select from any available assignment in any of the on-campus apartments (Campus Inn, College, Colonial Arms, Jax, Pannell, and Penn House), Daugette Hall (Males Only), Meehan Hall, or Sparkman Hall. 

Female residents of Logan Hall with a 2.5 GPA or higher qualify for the Leadership House for Women. A separate application is required for the Leadership House for Women program. For more information visit our website

I am a member of a Greek organization and want to live in my chapter's designated housing facilities. What are my options?

Members of Alpha Omicron Pi, Alpha Xi Delta, Delta Zeta, Kappa Sigma, Phi Mu, Pi Kappa Phi, and Zeta Tau Alpha have designated housing facilities on campus. If you are wanting to live in your designated housing follow the steps below.

Option #1: Current residents will need to submit a Returning Student Application 2017-2018 online through MyResCenter during March 1-5. Room assignments should be submitted by the chapter president to the Director of University Housing Operations, Brooke Lyon (bbell@jsu.edu), by March 5. Once the room assignment list has been submitted the Office of University Housing Operations will make the remaining assignments.

Option #2: I do not live on campus and want to live in my chapter's designated rooms or fraternity house. You will need to submit a Transfer/New Upper Class Resident Application Fall 2017-Spring 2018 application online through MyResCenter and pay the $200 nonrefundable application fee. Room assignments should be submitted by the chapter president to the Director of University Housing Operations, Brooke Lyon (bbell@jsu.edu), by March 5. Once the room assignment list has been submitted the Office of University Housing Operations will make the remaining assignments. 

I forgot to select my room on my designated date OR I want to change my assignment! What are my options?

Only residents who have submitted a Returning Student Application 2017-2018 may change rooms or edit their application.

You will be able to log on Thursday, March 9 or Friday, March 10, between 12:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. to search for any open rooms or change rooms if space is available. 

I want to live in the Leadership House for Women. What do I need to do?

You will need to submit a Returning Student Application 2017-2018 online through MyResCenter between March 1-5 and then log onto MyResCenter on your designated day to select a room assignment. 

Submit the Leadership House for Women application online.

If you are accepted into the program you will be assigned to the Leadership House for Women by the Office of University Housing Operations.

I was recently hired as a Resident Assistant. What do I need to do?

If you currently live on campus you will need to submit a Returning Student Application 2017-2018 online through MyResCenter during March 1-5.

If you do not currently live on campus you will need to submit a Transfer/New Upper Class Resident Application Fall 2017-Spring 2018 application online through MyResCenter and pay the $200 nonrefundable application fee. You will be assigned to your room assignment by the Office of University Housing Operations. 

If you were chosen to be an alternate list to be a Resident Assistant for Fall 2017- Spring 2018, the Office of University Housing Operations will assign you to your room assignment.
