Lauren Brewer StatementLauren graduated from Jacksonville State University in August 2008 with a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Accounting.  She went to work as a tax/audit intern in September 2008 at Warren Averett in Anniston, Alabama.  She continued her education through 2009 to obtain the 150 hours needed to take the CPA exam.  She began her more permanent career at Progress Rail Corporation, a Caterpillar company, in Albertville, Alabama in April 2010 as an Accountant III – SOX Accountant.  She was promoted to Accountant II in 2012 while still in the SOX Accounting role.  In early 2013 she transitioned from SOX Accounting reporting up through Corporate Accounting to an Accountant I in the newly formed Fraud & Anti-Bribery Compliance space under the VP of Compliance.  In late 2013 she was promoted to Fraud & Anti-Bribery Compliance Manager and continued to implement Caterpillar’s new Fraud and Anti-Bribery Compliance Program across the world.  In mid-2014 she was promoted to General Compliance Manager, with a team of three employees, supporting the Fraud & Anti-Bribery and Financial & Operational (SOX) Compliance spaces, as well as a newly formed Employee Expense Compliance space.  In February 2016 she became a Certified Fraud Examiner.  In April 2016 she was promoted to Plant Controller of Progress Rail’s newly acquired Haynes Corporation in Naples, Florida.
